Awards… for the best of the best…

Team Leaders are the most influential people in any company. What they say and what they do determines employee performance, shapes employee moods, develops employee potential, and drives organisational success. And yet they’re often under-appreciated. Until now.

The annual ‘Team Leader of the Year Awards’ have been set up to recognise and celebrate the accomplishments of the best Team Leaders in Australia. Recipients will clearly demonstrate the following attributes:

• They’ve made a big difference to the workplace
• They’ve gone way beyond the call of duty for their team
• They’ve achieved remarkable success despite seemingly insurmountable odds
• They show a genuine passion and love for their role and their team
• They’re well-respected and adored by their employees and colleagues

Nominations can be made up until the end of March 2009.  In early April, a shortlist of nominees will receive an individual application to progress to the next stage.  The top ten of these will then undergo a phone interview in late April. The finalists will be invited to a special event in May where the winner will be announced.

Important points to note:

-  The judging panel will consist of three independent adjudicators

-  To maintain fairness in the judging process, Team Leaders employees will not serve as adjudicators

-  Each nominator is eligible to nominate only one person for these Awards
